Book Review Presentation

 A wise man once said ‘A book is a dream that you hold in your hand!’

At Don Bosco immense importance is given to application based learning. With a view to inculcate the habit of reading in students and help better their understanding and interpretation skills, a book review presentation event was organized on 22nd July 2015 from 1pm – 5:30pm for the second year MMS students. They were divided in 10 groups and were asked to explain key concepts of the book while also give examples of companies applying those concepts.

The panel of judges was led by Mr. Manvit Barve, Visiting Faculty at many colleges and having industry experience of 8 years. The other judges included Dr. Ramachandran, Dean (DBIT – MMS) and Dr. Das, Associate Professor (DBIT – MMS). The judges gave the students with valuable feedback to help make and deliver better presentations in the future.

The outcomes achieved among the students were the following:

  1. An increased awareness of the latest trends in thinking within the corporate world.
  2. An opportunity to discover what corporates are doing in the areas covered by the books.
  3. An opportunity to develop innovative thinking in terms of application of this knowledge.
